Birthe (April) Goswick
was born in Randers, Denmark in 1978. She arrived in the
United States in 1999 looking for adventure. She spent one
year working on a cattle ranch and then returned home to
Denmark only to return to Arizona. She continued her work
with horses until January 2003 when she attended Yavapai
College in Prescott, Arizona. April's concentrated area of
studies were in agricultural science. After one year, she
changed her focus of studies to major in criminal justice
(April's father was a detective). April graduated from
Yavapai College in May 2005. She furthered her studies in
criminal justice and pursued a bachelor of science in
criminal justice at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff
in August 2005. April completed her courses at Northern
Arizona University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science
/ Criminal Justice in December 2006. In the Spring of 2007,
April was accepted into University of Wyoming College of Law
where she received her JD in May 2010.
Other accomplishments would
include a case note that was published with the Wyoming Law
Review in 2008-2009. April served as a Comment Editor for
the Wyoming Law Review in 2009-2010. She also participated
in Rothgerber Trial Competition for the University of
Wyoming where they won their preliminary competition
in 2010. Further, April participated in Honorable Robert
Rose Voir Dire Competition in 2009 and won first place.
